DKD - calibration of
material testing machines since
1996
Already since 1996 we are accredited as DKD calibration lab by national
metrologic head: PTB Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt in
Braunschweig.
In 1997 we extended the range of metrology to
Tensile / Compression
testing machines and extensometers
In 1998 we completed our accreditation range by a implementation of
accreditation for impact tests. From this time on we are able to offer
the full range for DKD calibration of classic mechanical testing
equipment in full range.
Similar like a clockwork
a testing machine has to run with high precision and high accuracy in
displaying the results. To grant this we recommend to calibrate the
testing machine in regular intervals (DKD = every 12 month)These
calibrations should be carried out by a DKD accredited office: Only a
DKD certified company was approved about the needed competence for this
service.
Second: Only a DKD calibration office will grant that the
metrologic equipment will be recalibrated in regular intervals.
Why is our DKD – calibration service less expensive?
From start up of our company the service for testing machine was basic
component off our policy. Here we “learned” to
improve our service and to rationalize in every way: But the biggest
improvement was to create our own calibration software: From data
acquisition to “ready to print” certificate within only a few mouse
click gives us the chance to spare costs and to offer our service for
one of the best price ratio on the market.
You do receive a better offer from competitor?

Several times we recognized that some suppliers offer the calibration
without EXPENSES. The additional costs are shown only as term inside of
the following text (in small print) like:
"Accounting of travelling costs or travelling time will be on actual
valid list for expenses". This sound really "official" and seams to be
fair…
But you are comparing our total price with incomplete prices?

Why should calibrations carried out by combined service + DKD - lab?
(not only calibration / DKD – calibration lab)?
If this company will state a not conform testing machine (not fulfilled
accuracy) a second company has to adjust / repair the machine.
A combined company (service, repair and calibration) mostly can fix the
problem directly and start a new calibration. Because you don’t need to
pay for additional expenses for travelling you will save directly
hundreds of Euro. In the meantime also calibration labs offer a basic
service. But they can’t bring in the competence / spare parts like a
qualified service company.
Why is the quality of different DKD – calibration labs different??
Of course – every DKD lab is approved about the competence for this
service. But some of them don’t invest for the best available
calibration equipment. So their measuring
uncertainty is less than it could be. So some of the DKD calibration
labs only can state a class 1 machine even when your machine does show
results for a class 0.5
Why is a better calibration class of your testing equipment importuned?
When your lab has to show the measuring uncertainty the
measuring

If the calibration lab does not have the highest possible measuring
