Hardness test block, indenter, impact reference samples

This equipment we supply only with test certificates of

• DKD - calibration  

• NIST - certificates

Every year we calibrate about 2.500 material testing machines.

For this we need a suitable number of reference materials like hardness test blocks, indentors for all machines (required to calibrate according the standards), and reference test samples for impact test.

So for the main methods we have all necessary references on stock – also to support you with required equipment.

This equipment we supply only with a top level: Including an DKD – calibration certificate.

Special for the DKD calibration we need a high number of DKD – calibrated indentors:
To calibrate hardness tester according the ISO standards the indentor has to be approved by DKD (with valid time period). This calibration certificate does insure that the indenter is measured dimensional according the standards and especial for Rockwell with a functional test (several test has to be done on reference machines.

For micro Vickers the indentor has to be specially selected by supervision of length of ridge.

The hardness test blocks for DKD calibration of hardness testers (on for own internal calibration) shouldn’t be older than 5 years (validity of test certificate max. 5 years).

More and more the impact testers will also be calibrated with reference specimens.

Actual this is binding for ASTM calibration.

For ISO calibration actual there is an intermediate time period where this additional test is not binding – until: 31.12.2009
