This hardness tester is designed especially for measuring with
highest requirements to accuracy for measuring with the principle of
Rockwell, Vickers und Brinell. The electronic hardness testers
for Rockwell are equipped with German high precision probe of
HEIDENHAIN, a digital LCD Touchpanel, and motorised test loading
cycle and – depending on the type – with motorised change of
measuring range. The solid structure of the machines allow to use
this machines also in the roughest environmental conditions and for
highest testing quantity in heavy industry, steel plants, foundries,
casting industry as well as in laboratories for research and
development. The machines are equipped with 2 years warranty
The design of the body and the standard equipment of illumination of
the testing area allow an easy positioning of the test piece. The
machines are equipped with an internal strip printer. Additional you
can use a PC for data collection. There is available a high class
test software for to store, select, print and evaluate the results
(incl. histogram, SPC function, statistics with CP + CPK).
Inside of the machine menu you can edit limits for the material,
correction for round surfaces, conversion to different hardness
scale and tensile strength. The internal memory does allow 1000

The
INNOAVATEST
® research and developing team implemented newest sensor technique
and industrial standards of industry to design a universal Vickers
hardness tester – without using the old death weight loading system
or complicated load control systems.
The closed loop force control system, the control electronic, the
firmware control software, the filtering of control and measuring
data are processed in a 32 bit central processor unit.
This NEXUS hardness tester is equipped with a revolver with four
positions for indenters or optics (equipped on requirements of the
customers). On your demand we can implement different indentors
(Vickers / Knoop / Brinell) ore up to 3 different optics. |

While assembling the NEXUS series 4000 hardness tester it can be
equipped on your requirements and painted in your customised colour
(optional equipment).
The unique construction allows starting

The NEXUS series 4000 hardness tester are designed, constructed and
built Netherlands “Made in Netherlands / Europe”. They meet the

Control of test cycle
Conventional old hardness testers are designed with an mechanical
load system and dead weights or spring load system to apply the
needed test load. Such systems do have the disadvantage that the
real applied load can not be controlled because they do not have an
on line force measuring system.
The hardness tester Series
NEXUS 4000 is equipped with a load cell and an closed loop loading
system. That system measures the applied load continuously and
controls the mechanism while the cycle is running: Wrong load ore
overload / to low load is not longer possible because this system
correct the force directly.
In theoretic this system allows
an unlimited number of different loads and test methods for each
conceivable test me.
Accuracy & reliability
With highly improved algorithm the until now (from dead weight
machines known) overshooting of test force is completely avoided.
The load applying and unloading is completely full automated. It is
possible to pre-adjust the positioning of the turret (indentor and
optics). Using this features will grant a stress less working with
this machine: Easily you may evaluate all Vickers / Knoop / Brinell
indentations within reduced time. |

Additional extension of the hardness tester
The conception of the
NEXUS series allows extending the features of the machine also later
on. For example: Your actual technical requirements are to test
according Vickers. In the fist step your budget does allow only a
machine with basic features. So your choice should be a hardness
tester NEXUS 4300. Every time we are able to extend the features or
equipment to higher / lower forces and to mount a
camera-measuring-system CMS. This grants that you investment is not
bound to a machine for only a limited range of test methods or
evaluations.
You only have to call up at SCHÜTZ + LICHT
Prüftechnik GmbH or
INNOVATEST and your machine will run within a few hours /
a few days with different, extended loads, different indenters and
optics (including DKD calibration. The investment into a hardness
tester NEXUS series grants to be extended for all test loads from
micro Vickers HV 0.020 to Brinell 62.5 kg.
