|
The
incident light microscope
contains
polarization contrast
with modern LED-white
light illumination equipment and a coaxial coarse and fine
drive. It provides a standard
magnification range of 50x – 1000x with a resolution of 0.4 µm
and an
8 – 0.2 mm field of view. The trinocular tube allows wide and
upright image fields for
optimal visual inspection and the possibility to connect cameras
for a digital
documentation. Industrial quality control is the main
application for the microscope
where polarization contrast is used. Also The AM5 pol is suited
for research and
development.

Applications with polarization contrast
Polarization contrast is optimal suited for observing probes
from mineralogy, material
research and micro technology. Other applications are quality
control and optical
measurement in the field of fibre and textile industry as well
as plastics and packaging
technology. In addition to polarization contrast it is possible
to use oblique incident light
and dark field.

LED – Illumination
The microscope features LED-white light
sources. Modern LEDs replace the for
polarization contrast normally used halogen
bulbs. Long life time, low power consumption,
less heat production and constant colour
temperature are a big advantage of LEDs. A
detailed surface contrast of complex probes
can be observed by an oblique incident light.

Intermediate
Tubes
The incident light system according to KOEHLERS principle with
adjustable aperture and
different filters creates together with infinity corrected
objectives a plane and high
contrast image for best optical quality. The integrated
polarization unit includes a 180º
rotatable table (-90º/ + 90 º with 0.1 º units).

Photo &
camera documentation
High resolution single lens reflex cameras (D-SLR) can be
connected to the microscope via
T2 adapter ring with suited photo adaptation for an optimal
image field. Another possibility
for documentation and measuring is the use of video cameras.
Many different analogue or
digital (USB, DVI, …) live view cameras with chip size (1/4”;
1/3”; ½”; 2/3”) can be use
with specific camera adaptation. |

Stands and stages
The stand is equipped with the coaxial fine and coarse drive
with 2 µm resolution and the
LED intensity control. Different stages are available like a
rotating stage, a mechanical
stage, a gliding stage and magnet spherical stage. |

Depth

For the
evaluation or measurement of path
differences and to improve or change the
image contrast can compensators (λ, λ / 4)
are used. The expansion joint itself has a
fixed path difference (birefringence) and is

Digi-View
is a good and comfortable measuring program. In this each user
is able to
calibrate the measuring system and configure it to special
conditions. Digi-View can be
used to measure all typical measuring applications. DigiView – a
program for microscopy
documentation and measuring of images. Together with a dedicated
camera (USB) or
grabber card all operations are possible to use in live mode and
full colour depth. |
