In 2008 we designed and start production of notch milling machines

This machine is made from highest quality components of famous German
brands like - SEW drive, motor driver and controller
- ITEM – profile frame
- RÖHM clamping system
- linear slider IEF Schneider This components ensures a high quality
of test samples and a high lifetime of the machine without intervention
for service and repair.
The conventional production of specimens
for impact test courses some time-consuming steps for preparing. The die
casted specimen’s has to be me planed / milled and the notch has to be
produced with high precision. To make the notches with high precision in
depth and perfect surface of the notch it takes time for positioning.
The surface of the notch and the dimensions of radius have to prevent an
influence on the test results.
This problem does not appear if
you are using the new KFM-S: Using this machine means – only put the
specimens into the clamping system, close (fix) the clamping and the
package of samples will be notched within second after pushing the start
button. Because of special designed specimens supports according the
different standards it is grant that the notch will be in the centre of
the specimen and with correct depth of the notch. Within one shot you
are able to prepare up to 15 specimens …
For different
requirements we are able to design different clamping systems – for
example: Using a tensile specimen (casted) and the notching machine will
cut (with additional saw blades the head of the tensile specimens. With
the same process the notch will be milled (only one process for cutting
and milling)
.
Processing the notching / using the notch milling machine:
When switching on the machine has to do a zero procedure to start
position (initial point). There for only press the start button and
automatically the machine drives to this reference point (max. 5
seconds). When machine stops you may insert the specimens (up to 15)
and close the clamping vice by hand lever (pneumatic acting optional).
After pushing the start button the rotating drive shaft with milling
knife starts and, at the same time, the linear feed system drives the
fixed specimens forward to the milling knife. Within a few seconds the
fixed specimens will pass the milling knife and will receive the high
precision notch. The depth of the notch will be adjusted by height
adjusting system (manual) and high precision reference block (not
included). The turning knife is designed with the exact geometry of the
notch for impact specimens. The turning speed and the linear feed slide
may adjust in variable rotation speed.
The cutting area is
perfectly protected with a hood. This hood does close an electronic
contact. If the hood is not closed the machine does not start / will
stop immediately. This hood also does content an exhaust tube for the
integrated (standard equipment of the machine) vacuum cleaner. With this
cleaner nearly all chips from milling will be collected into a vacuum
