Tensile Specimen Punches / presses
Since 1970 in sheet metal industry we are the first address for specimen
preparation machines. Totally we supplied 80 % of all equipment used in
the market. When someone is talking about specimen preparation machines

The punches / presses are especially designed for to prepare specimens
in testing industry. To limit the costs of this machine we designed this
machine especially for this application. So this machine can’t be used
for other applications. But on the other hand: Very often this equipment
is less expensive than used presses (with of course higher stroke).
In the last years the sheet metal industry and steel market designed
more and more specialised steels with micro structure. At this material
the tensile strength and also the total elongation increased to a level
that no one did estimate 10 years before. Because of this today a 1,000
or 1,200 kN press became standard equipment for this application.
The limit of these systems is inside of the range of 0.05 – 8.0 mm
(0.002 – 0.3”). It is not possible to use only one tool for a very
big range. In nearly every case there are two ore more tools needed.
Even when austenitic material has to be cut the steps of thickness
ranges has to decrease to 50 % because of the “incredible” deep drawing
effect of this HQ material.
In former times we designed presses
in C-shape only for 600 kN (60t). Since we are using FEM we designed
C-frame presses up to 2,500 kN (250 t) with C-shape frame. The
benefit of this machines is: You don’t need to pre cut the sheet metal
plate: Put a not limited plate into the open shaped press and also
open shaped tool and receive within seconds a blanked tensile specimen.
