For specimen preparation in plastic applications there are a few
different methods suitable. One of the most common is to punch the
specimens by using a hand lever (or pneumatic) press and a cutting tool.
This method is used for bone type / dumbbell specimens or parallel
strips for materials like films, foils, , thin rubber and other weak
material with flat shape. Therefore you put the specimen plate below the
press with cutting knife and the specimen will be cut in the shape of
the design of the cutting tool. For different shapes we provide
different cutting knifes with different geometry.

The result of a tensile is not only the result of a good quality
material. Even the preparation of the specimen does have an effect on
this. Basic criteria for the test are the condition of preparing the
specimens.
Especially at the specimen preparation you have to
