A used machine not every time is the best solution (from commercial
and technical few). In many cases the price of a new machine is
close by. And this new machine does have other benefits: A used
hydraulic machine is not suitable for automatic extensometer. This
machines are mostly designed with plunger piston. If the specimen
does not have a high elongation and the forces for this tests are
higher than 100 kN the piston will “jump” several mm (up to 20 mm).
The arms of an automatic extensometer will be pulled together with
the specimen in high speed. This will damage the arms of the
extensometer and destroying the arms / knifes…
Additional the machine has to be “redesigned” to implement hydraulic
grips. But this grips are necessary to hold the specimen after
rupture… (not to damage the extensometer…)
At every spindle drive machine this point are not a problem: All
spindle machines (also used machine) can be equipped with equipments
like: - hydraulic grips - changing system for clamping systems
- t-slot plates - extensometers (manual or full automatic)
Example for used machines (mostly with modernisation)
Following machine is an example of delivered machine. We have to
